Victorian Bridal Basket

One of the lovely customs of days gone by was the bridal basket. The woven basket of humble origin was covered by an elegant hand-crocheted skirt. Satin covered the handle, and a satin ribbon flowed from the large bow at the top. Flowers nestled in the satin-lined interior of the basket. The picture comes in a hand-painted frame that matches the soft pinks of the basket. It hangs by a red tasseled cord from a pink heart that conceals the hook. (Original)
