Fine art is a treasure. In the hands and eyes of an artist, an old dead stump can take on as much beauty as a sunset or an aged human face. Melton Publishing invites you to stroll through its gallery and enjoy the realistic renderings of K. Meeker-Rouhier. The portrait on the Melton Publishing heading is titled, "Shadow of the Thunderbird--War Chief Leschi, Nisqually." It was painted by K. Meeker-Rouhier in 2000 and was displayed at the Nisqually Tribal Center through the summer of 2000. She successfully captured the spirit of that great leader of his people and transferred it to canvas.
